I purchase the HR8402 because it's well constructed and every one of these units I have installed I know the risk of fire from them is nearly elimated, which brings me peace of mind.

My Electrcian gave me a thumbs up on the ease of installation, and the quality of the product.
Although slightly large to handle.

Bathroom remodel with new ceiling framing called for a shower light. This was the perfect fit for a tight space. Well made product, easy to install.

We decided to spend a bit more, and get quality since lighting is everything, and these did the trick. After visiting our local lighting store, we saved about $20 per light, so we're happy we ordered these.

This is the second time we are installing recessed low voltage lighting in our home. The first time we had the ceiling open with a full remodel. It was far easier to install these very large transformers. This time we put them into an existing ceiling, which was made difficult by their size and the low clearance area in the attic. I would suggest the use of this with an open ceiling in a more extensive remodel. We love how economical this lighting is, same bulbs for years and less electricity.

These are very well designed and create a much better aesthetic then typical 6" recessed lighting

Bought this for use with the WAC 8411 recessed lights. Our architect pushed us towards using low-voltage lights, which require the more expensive transformers, but we're happy we decided to listen to him. In order to save on money, we cut away the insulation in the ceiling. No complaints with these, and I think they were pretty easy to install, although our electrician did it.

It has been a pleasure to order from ylighting. They have a huge selection and a very informed staff. I found the staff to be very helpful and responsive. My order came very quickly and it was great from start to finish.
The transformers I ordered were great for the ceiling of my media room. They helped conform to an energy code. The only problem I had was getting the correct lightbulbs. The light was very dim and only worked once I got bulbs with enough lumins.
Overall, I would work with ylighting for all my lighting needs.
