This light is beautiful. The light inside is even and consistent with no dark spots. It is not heavy and very easy to install. Globe comes off with a twist. The 10 inch is a perfect size for an entryway.

Over the last 3 years I have bought three of these for our house. The unit consists of a base which has threads. So the glass ball screws onto the threaded base, making it possible to mount the ball so no hardware is visible on the outside. Overall a very clean look.

Cleaning and swapping out bulbs is as easy as unscrewing the ball.

I now use the Phillips 17 Watt LED bulbs with these units. These are equivalent to 75W bulbs but the light is still quite good.

I wanted a clean and pure wall fixture that could accommodate standard bulbs. The Dioscuri fit the bill perfectly. I didn't install, so cannot speak to ease of that. However, the fixture (medium size) fits perfectly with our contemporary home. Note that it is as pure a solid white ball as you can get. No LED given that there is no heat vent.

I bought this light for my son's room and it is perfect for the space. His room is a combination of contemporary and tudor architectural elements and the light is a perfect compliment (and clearly on the contemporary side of things).

Cheaper versions of this have the light base outside the globe. What makes this light worth the extra cost is that the light base goes inside the glove.

After waiting months for the fixture it arrived without the two screws needed which was discovered after the electrician was already here! As we were installing it outdoors it would have been good to have stainless screws included. A call to customer service resulted in being put in touch with Artemide who did apologize for their error. (They checked another box and verified the screws were supposed to be in the plastic bag with the plate.) Anyway it's a simple installation otherwise and the resulting fixture is simple and perfect at our '60's home.

I received this wall sconce quickly and the light was in excellent condition. Installation was easy, and the light looks beautiful outside.

The one mistake I made (and it's all mine) was selecting the fluorescent option instead of incandescent. I should know better. I have to special order the bulbs, which I did. However, I ordered 18W and I think it's too bright now. Compared with my neighbors' homes, it looks like a flood light. Now I have to special order the same bulb in 13W. If I had to do it again, I would have just gotten incandescent.

LOVE the fixture though.

We purchased these lights for our deck and outside wall. Our house is almost mid century so these were the perfect fit. We have a modern sense of design, but find that many lights/sconces are over designed. These were exactly what we were looking for. Classic. We bought three, two of the biggest size- which are on either side of our sliding door, they are huge, and somewhat absurd but we love them! And the third one is the middle size for above a smaller sliding door. They emit enough outdoor light without over powering. just simple good design.

I had originally wanted to use this product as a wall sconce, but it was far too big for the intended space. I suppose I didn't account for how far the fixture would protrude from the wall. I hung it from the ceiling, instead, & I love it. I have a 10 ft. ceiling, & the fixture just floats off the ceiling and provides plenty of light. I'm going to order another for the bedroom area of my loft. I may wind up with 3 in a line across the cement ceiling. Arrived in perfect condition & extremely fast. Hooked it up to a dimmer. This light looks magical in our contemporary remodel half bath. It's a small bathroom, the light was placed over a wall to wall mirrored medicine cabinet.
