The Tizio is a design classic, with the first version released in 1972. It provides orientable halogen task lighting, and its elegant counterweight and arm system keep the head constantly parallel to the table. The fully-adjustable and balanced electrical conductor arms are made of anti-corrosion treated aluminum, and the the arm spacer bars are made of chromed steel with with red, molded, thermoplastic insulators. Both counterweiights are made of zinc alloy. The Tizio can rotate 360 degrees around its base, which incorporates a low voltage transformer and and hi-low on/off switch. Uses 1 X 12V 50W max halogen bulb (included).

Renowned lighting series issued by Artemide include the versatile Tizio and Tolomeo, Logico, Melampo, Castore, and color-changing Metamorfosi. Other design classics that Artemide still produces include the unique Boalum, Nesso and Fatto. Over the years, many designers have created beautiful works of lighting art for Artemide, including Michele De Lucchi, Livio Castiglioni, Gianfranco Frattini, Vico Magistretti, Richard Sapper and Giancarlo Fassina. More recently, Ron Rezek's line of practical and affordable designs, including many wall sconces, bath lights and mirrors was acquired by Artemide.
We owned our first Tizio for 15 years when it was dropped and damaged. We immediately wanted to replace it and have since sent our broken lamp for possible repair with Artemide. Both YL Lighting and Artemide were great to work with on replacement and hopefully, repair of our original lamp.

Love the Design and Light quality
THis is a great classic design. Thed light quality for reading is perfect. I have one in my living room and one in my bedroom - the design is very versatile. The price on Y Lighting was the best price i found.

It's the Original!
Not for office anymore! Looks great in our living room. The built and finish is just perfect. The only improvement I can think of is how the cord is connected to base. It should be connected to the bottom base not the main body. I'm sure this is a challenge in design but other than that!... I'm loving my Tizio Classic.

Looks as if it was custom designed for me and my Loft furnishings
I debated whether to purchase this product and from where. After looking at the web sites and reading reviews I knew it was for me and from YLighting. However, didn't realize until it was next to my sofa how beautiful it really is. After receiving the package, it was very easy to put together and then attach the floor support which I'll give in the next review. The quality is fine and the colour I chose - white is actually cream. This looks better in my Loft with a clotted cream colour sofa by Minotti. The product is quite heavy and YLighting went out of there way to make sure I received it in a timely manner. Thanks YLighting.

Perfect blend of form and function - favorite lighting instrument
Great light source (hi and lo beam, directional but not too narrowly focused), highly functional design (easy to manipulate, accommodates very diverse configurations), timeless beauty (elegant yet masculine, beautiful proportions and scale) extraordinary quality (very durable construction and finish). I bought my first 25 years ago and have used it daily as a desk lamp. It's still like new. I've since bought two more for myself and several for friends.
