The Skydro Ceiling Light is composed of ABS injection-molded reflective base with a lighting unit in die-cast aluminum and a painted steel bearing structure. The Skydro can be customized by adding extra units. Available in non-electrified or electrified with halogen or LED lamping options.

Ross Lovegrove was born in 1958 in Cardiff, Wales and graduated from Manchester Polytechnic with a 1st class BA honors in Industrial Design in 1980. He then continued on to receive his masters of design from the Royal College of Art in London in 1983. In the early 1980's he worked as a designer for Frog Design in West Germany on numerous design collaborations such as walkmans for Sony and computers for Apple. He later moved to Paris as a consultant to Knoll International. He later returned to London and founded Studio X in the Notting Hill area of London. Lovegrove has worked for a variety of clients such as Issey Miyake, Herman Miller and Airbus and in 2005 he was awarded the World Technology Award for design. His personal artwork has been exhibited at MoMA in New York, the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Design Museum in London.
