I bought this light based on its online description: primarily its dimensions were right, and in the photo, it looked like it would blend nicely into my home office. It exceeded my expectations on those criteria, and others. In fact, the equal-best part of the light is its LED technology, which barely gets a mention in the YLightlng descriptions. For one thing, it uses next-to-no energy, as evidenced by the cool-to-touch shading around the light source, even when it's illuminated at its maximum brightness. And it has two dimensions of lighting (color and heat) that have fine-grain variations, allowing you to select any kind of illumination, from blinding-white-light, to mellow background reading. I guess anyone who already owns an LED floor light would know this, but I didn't, because my previous experience with LED was limited to cycling lights (and yes, for that purpose, they're also brilliant, in both senses of the word).
And then there's the furniture: a minimalist design, infinitely-adjustable angles, and a solid base that allows all kinds of positioning without falling over or demanding massive square footage in your office.
Down sides? The assembly instructions were probably for an older model, and in any event, they were redundant, because it was so easy to put together. As shown in the photo, the cable clips to the external tubing, so is visible (and hence not a minimal in appearance as other designs), but then, at least it wont twist the cable as happens with internal routing.
In summary, a light of beauty, both in design and technology (except that YLighting forgot to tell you about the beautiful technology).
