    Blum, an abundance of glass vases like sun rays burst out of a chrome-plated metal sphere, densely covering its surface to form a five-lobed flower that forms an impressive "blossom of crystal". Available in 2 and 3 light configurations.

    Marcello Furlan

    Born in Murano, Venice, in 1962, Marcello Furlan owes his passion for blown glass to his father, a glassmaker master. In 1984 after studying architecture for several years at Venice University, he began to work in his family’s glass business. During this period he was responsible for designing and developing new decorative glass features and objects. In 1998 he began a career as designer of lighting fixtures, in parallel with his other career as a freelance graphic artist in advertising. His research, which stems from the study of natural and organic elements, has reinterpreted the traditional, classic form of the Venetian chandelier in a contemporary vein, developing modern solutions that are increasingly free from convention. This is how he conceived Blum, an abundance of glass vases like sunrays burst out of a chrome-plated metal sphere, densely covering its surface to form a five-lobed flower that forms an impressive "blossom of crystal".
