Brunklaus' creativity has juxtaposed old with new, solid with transparent, hard with soft throughout the collection, transforming materials as diverse as silk, velvet, and steel. The common thread?   Brunklaus' recognition of a temporal, material world that can only survive through modern manipulation. The products  serve a functional purpose: to provide contrast and add depth to their surrounding spaces. The world is a village.  There is an obvious transition towards uniformity which influences the buying habits of the audience and the interiors worldwide. Therefore Brunklaus continuously keeps creating  new, unique personal designs. She believes that consumers recognize the stories that exceptional design can tell.

Already in 1998, at the cradle of her company 'Brunklaus Interior Products', she was following this drive, creating under her own brand, 'Brunklaus Amsterdam'. Since then, her business has evolved from a modest mail-order company to a hugely successful, well-respected wholesale corporation which distributes world-wide. Brunklaus herself has become a Dutch design icon.
