Sleek and simple (in a good way)

The lamp looks as good as the online pics. The red on-off switch beautifully completes the design of the lamp. Quality construction and materials, it's a huge bang for the buck. My only criticism (a minor one) is that the lamp base is painted and thus its finish is not quite as nice as the rest of the lamp, but only on close inspection.

Set-up out of the box is a no-brainer. If you're looking for bright illumination --for instance, for reading-- the lamp probably won't suit you. The LEDs are moderately bright and illumination somewhat diffuse, despite having a relatively narrow focus. I use it mainly as ambient lighting and a sculptural element.

Meets expectations, but on/off switch is balky and sometimes does not work.
