Siemon & Salazar are based in Southern California, where they have been making hand blown glass fixtures that combine Muranese tradition with Scandinavian sensibilities since 1999. Caleb Siemon met Carmen Salazar at the Rhode Island School of Design while completing their undergraduate degrees. After graduating, Caleb trained with a master glass blower in Murano and then returned to California to start his own studio. Carmen joined him and they began collaborating with various other artists. Collaboration is still at the forefront of their studio, with every piece being handmade by team members.
Siemon & Salazar are inspired both by the glass they work with and the natural beauty of Southern California. They allow the natural qualities of the glass shine through and embrace the beauty of the landscape in their designs.
