Attractive, stylish light that is rather simple to install. The copper conductor on the cord is slightly beefy compared to the flimsy product on the market - refreshing. As result it takes a higher watt bulb.

The fabric on this light is said to be a type of plastic, but it resembles more of a stretch fabric; you won't really notice any plastic at all. It is rough, stretchy and will be difficult to dust by traditional methods. Generally seems as if it is fairly puncture prone as your fingers sink into it with significant ease upon handling.

Overall good value for what you get, does not look cheap and was easy to install.

My Mid-Century Modern wife has been eying the George Nelson Bubble Lamps for years. Needed a pendant for a primary stairway with a 2 story ceiling in a new house down by the water. This classic design is perfect. I ordered two small cigar lamps to hang over the bedside tables in the master bedroom. They hang pretty low and they look awesome! I keep going up there and flipping on the switch so I can admire them.

As to whether they were easy to install, I cannot say; I had an electrician come in to do it (he was here all day). I had pull switches installed on each lamp so that my husband and I can just turn them on/off with out having to get out of bed. The electrician had to install ceiling fan mounts in the attic so that our tugging on the chain doesn't pull the lights right out of the ceiling. Very happy with product/purchase & quick shipping!
