Highly recommend this lamp. We purchased two of these for either side of our bed, and love them. The are beautiful to look at, and are interesting enough that the wall doesn't need anything else. The light they give out is warm and cozy. The feel of the on/off pull-chain is really nice. The other thing that's nice about these is that the swivel back and forth - you can pull them closer towards the bed if needed. The photos don't do these lamps justice - they are simply gorgeous. Also, we received wonderful customer service from Y Lighting. One of the lamps came damaged (don't know how as they were packed so nicely in the box) but Y Lighting quickly replaced it.

I expected the shade on the wall sconces to be a little cheesy- like chinese paper lanterns, maybe. But I was pleasantly surprised to find them to be a high quality, durable material. I proved this to myself by dropping one of them while installing it. I'm very satisfied.

Easy to install but you will need 2 people. One person has to hold the fixture in place while the other uses a drill screwdriver.

I've admired these for some time and finally had a need for one. Really beautiful piece, excellent construction and well worth the short wait for delivery. As much as I hate the color of light produced by the average CFL the shade of this lamp does a great job of warming the light up. Still might go back to a incandescent, I'm just an analog kind of guy.

A lovely look for our library, and essential as there is no overhead lighting and these provide the right ambience.

However, there is a large and very heavy transformer in the cord, high enough up that it's visible on the wall. None of the picures or descriptions show this which is why I'm writing this review.

Also, I bought two of these to hang as a pair, but the transformers are different heights on the cord, which means the symmetry I wanted isn't possible. Rather poor that this isn't standardized.

We love these sconces - they added the perfect finishing touch to our bedroom redesign to a more contemporary look. I find them quite beautiful and being energy conscious, I especially like the use of cfl bulb. With the shades, the glow is diffuse and bright, not harsh at all, and good for reading. Well made, well designed, easy to operate and easy to install. Definitely worth the money.

We purchased this light to add depth to our living room. Our current set up is made up of strong lines and edgy modern living. Adding the bubble sconce, softened those lines and helped bring warm to the space. We love it and hope to add another one to our bedroom.

The light is well made and pretty much makes any room you put it in look better. It's a bit of a pain to install which is the only reason I gave it four stars. It really requires 2 people to put up.

My wife and I love the modern look of this series. We put pendant "bubble cigar" lamps in our bedroom. I installed 100 watt bulbs, and we have almost all the light we need, both for reading and to generally fill the space. We do need an additional ceiling light, because we are in a loft, and have a fairly big bedroom. I love these for reading; we hung the lights fairly high to fill the space and I just pull the light down closer to where I'm reading at night. No screws or instructions for installing the light came with the product. Still, installation was fairly easy--we put them right into our dry wall with four screws and mollies from the Home Depot.

What an amazing lamp. Perfectly reconstructed, true to the original Nelson design. Really well made, though my cord was a little scuffed by the way the cord-weight was attached (with a wire tie -- not a big deal though). A solid walnut piece is used to attach it to the wall. I'm quite happy with this lamp.

Love it, love it, love it. Provides such a perfect glowy warm light for our living room, and serves as both reading light and general light. Didn't have the trouble installing mentioned by some purchasers. Just used a level and a careful hand. Does take two people to install, though...

Only flaw is installation, as noted on other reviews, it is difficult to install the screws into the wall without slightly damaging the wires. Also, must be sure it is installed completely level or else it will swing to one side or the other.

All of the Nelson lamps are great and this has the added benefit of not needing any hard wiring- however the design for mounting on the wall is a bit odd. It's quite difficult to screw in, because you need to attach the screws while being very careful to avoid the power cord--- I found that to be rather strange. I think they might want to consider smaller screws or different type screws so this is less of an issue.
