I should have listened to reviewers - bigger is better. I purchased the extra large and it is fantastic. I have visited client's homes where they have used the extra large in a small eating area. I don't think you can go too big. Anyone needing a small perfect condition small globe :) My globe glows in my large contemporary foyer year round - at Christmas it glows with a green bulb.
