    The Tank Lights are offered as pre-configured clusters. Available in 3, 7 or 15 light versions. Each cluster is a grouping of pendant lights made from re-purposed fire extinguisher tanks. Lights are finished with high-gloss automotive paint in a range of colors. The tanks are in two sizes- "5lb" and "10lb".

    Combinations:

    • TKL/CL7- Cluster of 6 X "5lb" and 1 X "10lb" Tanks

    Provides direct ambient illumination. Reclaimed steel or aluminum tanks have a high gloss automotive paint exterior and a white painted interior. Each cluster is suspended from a round canopy finished with silver powdercoating. The Tank Lights are made from recycled/reclaimed materials so their exact size and shape can vary.

    Castor Design

    Established in 2005, Castor is Brian Richer, a trained architectural stone carver with a degree in English literature, and Kei Ng, a trained architect with a background in set design. Castor's work has been described as a cross between Guy Maddin and Larry Clark with a side of Stompin' Tom Connors. They are interested in the middle ground between high design and ribald yokelism. Materials and reuse of materials is also an important part of Castor's aesthetic. Burnt out bulbs to make lighting, a rusty shipping container to make a sauna - this re-contextualization of materials is a primary design consideration for Castor.
