After receiving a BFA from the College for Creative studies, Chris Hardy went on to pursue a Masters of Design from the School of Design at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Chris Hardy returned to the United States in 2009 to begin his freelance career, founding Chris Hardy Design, which specializes in both industrial and graphic designs. His first and most recent piece, the Wig Pendant Lamp, was inspired by the way Chris Hardy views society - small, individual pieces brought together to create a single, cohesive piece. Current clients include retail stores, interior design firms, furniture and lighting manufactures, and design publications.
