Denis SantachiaraDenis Santachiara was born on May 4th, 1950 in Campagnola, Reggio Emilia, Italy. He began his career in 1980 by focusing on linguistic and poetic potential in the artificial world. He has experiemented with new technologies in the industrial process to obtain new aestetic values. He has created works that have been displayed at different events, including: the Venice Biennial, Documenta 8 Kassel, Milan Triennial '82-'84-'86, Rome Quadrennial 1999. His objects are exhibited in the following museums: MOMA in New York, Musée des Arts Decoratifs at the Louvre in Paris, National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, Lyon Museum, Frankfurt Museum, Philadelphia Museum, Vitra Museum. In 1999, he was awarded the Good Design Award by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and in April 2000, he was awarded the Design World prize. He continues to work with Italian and international companies in Milan.
