Steven Blackman

Chicago designer Steven Blackman received his bachelor's degree in Industrial Design from Syracuse University in 1982. After graduating, he went on to work for Sonneman Design Group. After working there for several years, Blackman branched out on his own and created Blackman Design Associates, Inc in October 1998. In addition, since March of 2002, he has served as the Director of Design for American Fluorescent. With over 25 years exeperience in the lighting industry, Steven Blackman has been the grand prize winner for the “Lighting for Tomorrow” national lighting fixture competition for 2004, 2005, and 2006.
