Clean lines, elegant proportions and luxurious materials are the trademarks of a Zia-Priven Design. Inspired by dramatic interiors of the thirties and forties, the husband and wife design team redefines modern glamour with a simple, refined aesthetic.
Marcia Zia, an Emmy nominated decorator, and Paul Priven, a first assistant director, met while working on a film in Los Angeles. Their debut line in 200 introduced the market to Zia-Priven Design's modern interpretation of classic lighting. This sophisticated pendant series featured Italian glass and Czech crystal finials beneath silk dupioni shades. Further collections incorporated table and floor lamps with Lucite, sensual glass finials and elegant, elongated silhouettes. With their most recent designs of dramatic, large-scale pendant chandeliers, Zia-Priven Design cemented their reputation as a studio specializing in modern glamour.
Their work has been featured in numerous design show houses, restaurants, hotels, Interior Design Magazine, Architectural Digest, The New York Times, and many more. Their most recent completed projects include designs for the Wynn Casino, Donald Trump's Apprentice, and Martha Stewart's Apprentice.
