Alfonso Mila received his doctorate at the University of Barcelona. Upon graduation, he set up an architecture studio, enhancing a professional relationship and a strong friendship with other trade professionals. The designer devoted his career to architecture, interior design and industrial design, as well as teaching.
Mr. Milas work is an interpretation of the architectural inheritance of the great Catalan masters, which ended up being a capital influence in the recent history of Catalan architecture. Throughout his carreer, Mr. Mila was creating furniture and lighting for interior spaces, which include, for instance, the chairs and tables at the Reno restaurant (edited by Santa & Cole), the Capilla fireplace or the Barceloneta armchair.
Describing his professional style as an interior and industrial designer, Mr. Mila noted that for his work, most important qualities are the kind side, the humanity of architecture and design. His projects are thought to cherish memories, taste, color, images, senses and emotions.
