Rob Zinn is an award-winning designer whos non-traditional approach to the field of industrial design led to the founding of his own company, blankblank, in 2004.
A recipient of the First Place National Talent Scholarship, Zinn attended Pratt Institute and graduated in 1996 with numerous awards and distinctions. He returned to his Alma mater as a professor of three-dimensional design, and later became a lecturer in the design department at UC Davis.
The non-traditional approach for which Zinn became known, led to over eight years of consulting for award-winning product and furniture design studios and several gallery exhibitions, including the Thirty-Seventh Annual Juried Exhibition at the renowned Parrish Art Museum in Southampton, NY.
Seeking to pair talented local artisans with world-class international designers, Rob founded blankblank in Northern California in 2004. Acting as curator, manufacturer and gallery, blankblank has produced a collection of furniture, lighting, and objects that challenges the notions of art, design, need, and desire.
