I owned Dove lamps years ago and loved them. I used them as bedside lamps. I also have worked as a designer and the form and functionality of the Dove I don't think can be matched, even by some of the bigger names in this lamp category. The Dove adds a smart, sophisticated, modern look to more traditional room settings. Basically, "I love the Dove" because it works well and is gorgeous.

Our Dove lamp, that we bought decades ago, finally gave up the ghost (grandchildren). We spent several weeks looking for a replacement at YLighting and others. Nothing could match it for design, size and beauty. The design is classic, it fits on perfectly on the spiral chrome and glass end table, older than the original lamp, and the simplicity is beautiful next to the Mies van der Rohe armchair. Hope we are set for another couple of decades.

the dove lamp has a high tech contemporary look and seems to be of high quality. the black graphite finish is very appealing. the one setting for the light seems too bright however the other setting has enough light and is still functional. overall am very pleased with the lamp and would definitely purchase another light/lamp from ylighting...

I was looking for the right lamp for my daughter's Piano for a long time and this lamp gave me everything I was looking for. The light is bright enough and it's flexible to move out and move in over the music. I found this lamp through recommendation, so I HIGHLY recommend you buying this lamp.

This is my second Dove lamp. The place where it can be seen and is mot useful is unfortunately next to a sliding glass door that my dog likes to use. Several times he was frightened by something and dashed into the house getting tangled in the Dove cord and brought it crashing to the ground. For the first few crashes the lamp still worked although it lost its bulb cover and little rod. But finally it got to the point where it would periodically go out, and I would have to wiggle the bulb around to get it to light.

Since it was my favorite lamp, I bought a new one. The old one was dark brown, but the new is black which I like better. It is a very practical lamp putting light just where you want it.

When I went to throw out my old one, I just couldn't do it. So I moved it to a place where it is rarely used, and when I have to, I wiggle the bulb.

This is a replacement for a prior one, so I must like the lamp. The only problem is that frequent use will short out the contacts and it can't be fixed. Nonetheless, a very stylish and functional lamp.

We are very happy with this light. The design is functional and attractive. Its a very useful task light for a desk. The instructions are not the best, but once we understood them, we were able to install the bulb without any problems.

I have enjoy a Dove lamp for at least the last twenty years. It came to a halt recently. Couldn't find anyone to repair it. I bought a new one at YLighting. The delivery was prompt and the lamp arrive in perfect condition. When I try to remove the screw to remove the cover to install the light bulbs the little metal screwdriver provided broke. I contacted YLighting and the next day they email me saying a new lamp was on its way. They also sent me another detail email on what to do to return the first lamp. Very efficient, no hassle and First class handling of the situation.

As for comments on the lamp itself: I think the lamp is just simply soooo elegant. The new cover seems to be an improvement on the older model except for the removing of the screw. With the old model you could use a small regular screwdriver but not with the new one. The rod type screwdriver is fragile , when I put pressure to unscrew the screw that is when it broke. Other than that the lamp is still has stylishly beautiful as it always been. Andre G.
