In the case of a system overload or short circuit the transformer will revert to a "hold" position and then automatically reset the system when the problem is solved. Really like the email updates on order status. The transformer itself is very clearly marked with both AC and DC input and output requirements clearly marked. Nice housing for the transformer with several screw hole options for installation. Several breakout holes as well for electrical routing. I like that it's very compact and easily fit between the 2 x 4 studs of the loft-bed I'm building for my daughter. I did find other units online a little bit less expensive, but since I needed the recessed low-voltage lights, it was easier to order all from same place. Good Remote Transformer I used this Product as a remote transformer for a rehab job. It was pretty user friendly and fit through a 4" cutout for a recessed light.
