A:  The Metric Swing Arm does have a switch on the fixture, Estiluz says that it located on the bottom of the arm and it is also a hardwired fixture so it can be controlled by the wall switch as well. As for the mounting height... the general rule is to mount it about shoulder height. So you should get into the bed and sit in your normal reading position to determine this height.
