    I am happy with the design.

    Much like the other review, this is an elegant, minimalist design on the pricey side with a noticeable shadow within the glass that detracts from its overall appearance, but not illumination. I too would give it 3 and a 1/2 stars based on these factors.

    Very nice light, a bit pricey

    I think it is beautiful with one caveat -- the halogen bulb casts a small shadow within the glass frame, which is a bit distracting -- I haven't yet purchased a dimmer, but am hoping the shadow will disappear or at least abate after it is installed and we reduce the output. Otherwise, I will try a lower wattage halogen light. I had wanted to give 3 1/2 stars due to the inconsistency of the light and the price, but the system wouldn't allow.
