It's more of a paper shade than a fabric - it certainly doesn't have a linen texture about it. But, it looks great and well made for what it is. However, we were sent the wrong product to begin with - a 30" drum instead of a 15". They corrected the issue, and did so well - sending us a prepaid shipping label etc - but it did affect time line. In a tighter situation this would have been a deal breaker.
