Design by Ali Siahvoshi.
Hungry is a clever suspension light featuring stainless steel flatware. Forks, knives and spoons are draped onto the polished chrome structure to form the diffuser.
Hungry is available in two lengths. Suspended from two support cables. The "floating" canopy allows some flexibility when the junction box is not in a central location. Provides direct and ambient illumination.

Ali was born and raised in Iran. He was studying Physical Education at Ahwaz University when revolution in 1979 led to the closure of universities. He abandoned his studies and began working with sign makers. After establishing himself as a sign designer, the war became too much to bear and he moved to Britain in 1988. He picked up his studies and received his Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, followed by a Masters in Industrial Design at St. Martins College of Art and Design. While doing his dissertation, Ali became interested in working with objects of everyday use and transforming them into light fixtures. His work brings humor into simple objects and represents design in a way that brings these objects closer to his audience. Ali's work today is sponsored by the British European Design Group and has been exhibited in major international exhibitions.

Looks great, no installation instructions, sloppy construction
Let me start by saying that once installed the lamp looks amazing. Getting there is another story...
There are no assembly instructions included with the lamp and none are available on either the Ylighting or Fabbian wesbsites. There were some very basic instructions on which wire goes where but no instructions on assembly, lamp suspension etc. It took me more than 3 hours of tinkering with it to figure out how to attach everything. The suspension system is clever but not the easiest thing to figure out / assemble. You definitely need two people to suspend it.
Also, for an otherwise great looking, well and cleverly designed lamp, the plastic pegs that attach the cutlery to the lamp body are flimsy, loose and cause the cutlery to fall off at the least movement. This is the one part of the lamp that feels cheap and spoils the overall impression.
In the end the lamp looks great and I am happy I purchased it but the assembly was much more difficult than it needed to be.
