Mochi pendant, from the Lumi collection, features a satin-finish, white, blown glass diffuser to evenly diffuse the light. The soft-shape allows this pendant to be used in various applications.

Mochi is available in four sizes. The smallest size is suspended by the wire, the three larger sizes are suspended from steel support cable. Provides diffused and ambient illumination. Lumi Mochi can be ordered with an integral dimmable-LED light source (excluding small) or with incandescent/halogen sockets. Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, unique light with an even glow Shape is gorgeous - naturalistic, symmetrical without being a simple globe, calls out the petals in the japanese-inspired artwork I have on the wall. Does not hang quite straight, and this seems to be due to a design defect, but that really isn't noticeable so not a big deal. Comes with both a wire to hold the lamp and a longer, silver cord to snake back and forth in gentle curves - not sure why that isn't pictured, but I think it is pretty and adds to the effect. The first one I ordered had a manufacturing defect where the bulb housing wasn't mounted right, but they sent me a new one and that one is fine. I use with a 75 watt halogen bulb for even, bright illumination.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Poor Quality - 2 broken glass globes DO NOT PURCHASE!!! Love the way these lights look but similar to another person - we installed 2 of these lights 2 years ago. About 6 months ago - came into the house to find one of the globes shattered on our kitchen counter. We replaced it and just recently found the other (from the first two) globe shattered as well. Very poor quality glass. We are going to replace both fixtures as we do not trust the quality of these.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the look! We totally love how the Lumi-Mochi look in our dining room. Dealing with Y Lighting was painless, even pleasant! The only reason for four stars instead of five is that the assembly/installation instructions from the [Italian] manufacturer are pretty close to useless [at best]. Overall, would do business with Y Lighting again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poorly designed I bought two of these pendants. After a year, one of the glass diffusers fell by itself and broke into pieces. Three weeks later the exact same thing happened to the second one. There is a clear problem with the way the metal fastener is attached to the glass diffuser.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the shape. I love the shape of this lamp; not round but more like a symmetrical dumpling. It's very ephemeral, floating in the air without clear definition, especially if it's against a white wall. I think it's best in a tall, contemporary space, in multiples.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant, organic simplicity This fixture is all I hoped for. It's simple organic shape maintains visual interest without interfering with other elements in the room. Provided enough light to illuminate the space in which it was hung. Service was very prompt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Too small the 8 3/4 pendant was too small for even a small room. also, the connection between globe and cieling mount were wires that were unsightly. i never mounted it and send it back.

Is cable length adjustable?  Can it be shortened?

Asked by: dodger60
Thank you for the question. The Lumi - Mochi Pendant can be field cut to your desired length. It is a wire cord, so a certified electrician who instals your fixture can cut it to the specified length. Please let us know if you have any further questions or need assistance with your product choices. YLighting Customer Support 866-842-6209

Are the globes interchangeable? Do the Medium, Large and Extra Large globes all fit on the same fixture?

Asked by: Buzzard
Thanks for your interest in this design. The different sizes of globes are not interchangeable because each of the socket sets varies slightly in dimension and shape from one to the next, meaning that a globe meant for a different size fixture will not affix and properly lock into place. We do apologize for that inconvenience. To discuss this fixture in greater depth, or to follow up with anything else, feel free to give us a call anytime at 866.842.6209 and we are more than happy to go over some options with you.
