I was very satisfied with these Fabbian Recessed Lights. These are 10 times better than general run-of-the-mill "home improvement store" recessed lights, and at a very reasonable price. I am going to order more in the round trim for my other rooms.

The Fabbian Venere lights are beautifully made - an elegant alternative to standard recessed canned lighting. There is, however, a limitation that I do not see mentioned in the sales material or I simply missed it. I thought that I could aim the light (spot or flood) anywhere and in any direction. This is not the case. The element that holds the bulb is mounted into the sides of the exterior part of the light in 2 spots. So the bulb angle can be moved up or down (to the right or left) but it can't be angled to hit a spot (let's say) 3' to the right or left of the fixture. This is a real limitation if you thought - i'll place the fixtures at an even interval in a hallway and then focus the light on the art. You have to move the art or move the fixture.

Great example of careful and elegant design making just the right amount of statement for recessed accent lighting.

We used this with LED light bulbs from Philips, and they work absolutely great. The look is very modern as well.
