I needed a light for a bathroom renovation where, because of a dormer, the light had to be basically at eye level. So, with almost every other fixture, you would be staring right into the bulb. This one niftly gets around that problem, sending out light to the sides and bottom (or top, if you mount it that way). Plus, the mirrored front was a bonus for a small space. It doesn't provide a huge amount of light, but if it's not the only light you're relying on, it should be fine. Or get two!

i bought 3 of the smaller size to use as wall sconces at a fire place pointing up. All are on dimmers so at night the side and up light is very subtle. It was important to me that there was no light coming straight out since this would have caused glare in the room. These lights give a great glow out the top and sides. The light is sufficient enough to up light my 2' high ceiling. The white finish is gloss but you do notice a pimple or small bump out in the facia panel. Probably the result of a screw head from behind or a slight manufacturing defect.
Beware that since the side panels are recessed the light barely covers a standard american wall plate. So your attachemnt points need to be perfectly aligned. I had to drill out additional screw holes in the light fixture back panel to get it to perfectly align with my wall boxes.

This light is exactly what we needed and exactly what we saw on the website. The was a broken piece of lens when we opened it however yLIGHTING was amazing with customre service to resolve the problem.

It was easy to install and it gives off nice, indirect light up and to the sides. The mirror is nice for the bathroom. This is no task light - it doesn't give off much light, but I like the look. If you have a large wall box check the dimensions. Mine was a little bit bigger than the fixture, allowing some part of it to be shown. I had to cut off part of the plastic on the box and touch-up paint, but it looks fine now. The little light panel is a piece of glass glued on to the metal frame and mine was just a bit angled in. I didn't dare push to hard to straighten it as I was worried it might pop off. (now I don't really notice it). Overall, I recommend it.
