I have a large living room dining room area that was very poorly lit. All the advice was to insert cans in the ceiling as many as 30!!!

I was in Italy visiting a friend and I saw in her modern house these Nobi sconces used to light her entire house. Armed with courage I did the same. 8 Nobi sconces now light my living/room/dining room/study space. They add a clean contemporary feeling to the space and are not jarring with the antiques that fill the rooms.

I spec this product as a vanity light

Mounted an either side of the mirror or above gives you the best light for make up or shaving.

It is dimmable so at the lowest setting it can be used as a night light

Used 2 for bathroom and it works great. Suggest putting it on dimmer with 150W halogen bulbs which will give you plenty of light. EZ install but info about install hard to find online; use standard circular electrical box.

I love the Nobi light. It is so well designed. I have used the sconce with frosted glass on both sides now for over 10 years. It gives off a lot of light and since you can adjust the glass you have choices where to focus the light. I use light fixtures to light a space, not for decoration, and this fixture , while taking up very little space, is very powerful. I will continue to specify this fixture.

I am happy with this light after a somewhat annoying installation problem; I had to drill new holes in the round plate which covers junction box in order to center it over the box.

The design might be improved by concealing the screws which hold the canopy to the plate.

This light is like some outfits that are better worn than on the hanger. When my husband and I opened the box we just weren't that impressed for the money. But when we put the light on the wall it was great. Modern but with a hint of art deco. Like no other bathroom fixture we found. Truly like jewelry.

I have 2 of these in my bathroom. They are very attractive and the quality of the light is excellent. The halogen bulbs can become very hot, so I would be careful about placement, particularly with children.

The nobi is good fixture where your trying to achieve something close to a stylistic minimalism. I got the model where the glass is on both sides, and it gives a nice soft light to the ceiling as well. A fun trick is to tilt the fixture a bit and it cast a solid line of light onto the wall. I have it in a bathroom with the phillippe starck hansgrohe axor stark plumbing fixtures and the Duravit 04115500 Starck 2 Series Bath Sink and the new toto duraflush toilet. The bathroom has the original clawfoot tub in it, but the nobi doesn't seem out of place with it at all, the shape of it lends itself to a room that still has some of it's old victorian/craftsmen elements intact.
