Reminiscent of an ancient wall torch the Sare is sheathed in a woven steel mesh with a pointed nomex diffuser emitting a warm amber light. NOMEX® is the brand name of a flame retardant meta-aramid material marketed and first discovered by DuPont in the 1970s.

The B.Lux group got its beginning as a co-op in Markina in 1980. Designer Guillermo Capdevila created the group's first illumination collection (Belux Systems) in 1980 which was warmly embraced by the American market.
