The metal pieces that connect the shade segments are prone to fall out and that is disastrous because they are soooo hard to reassemble. All in all, I'd recommend another lamp. This lamp is very sculptural and really draws your eye. It glows. Even though this lamp is shown with very modern furniture the curved lines can actually go well with a mix of styles for instance DECO. The step switch is very convenient and easy to manage.
