HelenBiltBy utilizing predominantly glass, lucite, steel and resin, there exists an industrial feel to HelenBilt lighting by virtue of the raw state of materials. The work of HelenBilt, designed by Helen Gifford, has been featured, most notably, in Interior Design Magazine, Metropolitan Home, Architectural Digest (French Edition), House and Garden, and the New York Times.
Known for her imagination and ability to look at a project from many angles, Helen Gifford brings a creative diligence to her work as a custom lighting designer. Her captivating light sculptures grace such interiors as the Ritz Carlton, Beijing, San Diego's W Hotel, the penthouse duplex in New York City's Hilton Hotel, and the W Fort Lauderdale, opening in the Spring of 2009. Discerning clients Gwyneth Paltrow, Rachel Weisz, and Darren Starr have commissioned her work for their homes. Gifford's signature pieces?the Urchin and Concord?have been exhibited nationwide, including installations in New York City and the Hamptons, where Gifford makes her home. The designer's work has been featured worldwide in national publications such as Interior Design, Metropolitan Home, House & Garden, and The New York Times, and internationally with Architectural Digest (France), MAP Magazine (Australia), in addition to shelter magazines in Germany, Greece and Holland.
Helen Gifford's Eco-Urchin Series was conceived in keeping with the ever-growing needs of environmentally conscious architects, designers, and consumers.
