After his studies he moved to New York where he worked in the studio of Vignelli Associates and then later on at Polo Ralph Lauren where he was designing product, furniture and the interiors for Polo Ralph Lauren commercial spaces. After 11 years in New York he moved back to Barcelona to join the Inditex group as creative director for the brand Massimo Dutti and Bershka, designing the interiors of the commercial spaces and directing the communication and image for the advertising campaigns. In 2002, he teamed with architect Jordi Castel Tironi and formed the Castel Veciana Architecture Studio. Where they develop interior design, furniture and lighting for many world renowned clients including Metalarte, Louis Vuitton, Polo Ralph Lauren among others. MetalarteMetalarte is a company that has defined its personality through the co-existence of the new and the traditional. Applying Yin and Yang to production has resulted in the possibility of maintaining a catalogue that balances the future and the past, a tradition that began in a workshop at Madrazo Street in Barcelona. Metalarte, S.A., Barcelona, Spain is a manufacturer of traditional and avant-garde lighting whose origins date back to 1932. The world-renowned global company began within the warmth of a simple metalworking shop where its founder, Antonio Riera felt a unique passion for bright, appropriate lighting — something most unusual in a country that used 125 volts until the beginning of the 1960s. Today Metalarte combines a pride about its pioneer past and its new state-of-the-art factory and manufacturing abilities. They have chosen to work with such established and esteemed professional designers as Eric Franch, the Devessa Brothers, Josep Aregall, Alberto Lievore, Manuel Molina, Richard Ferrer and Manuel Molina. To further the concept that the future is today, in 2003 Metalarte created its advanced laboratory, Metalab, that has commissioned such new designers as Jamie Hayón, Raymond Úbedy and Otto Candalda, Hector Seranno, Jordi Llopis, Emil Padros and Ana Mir. Customer ReviewsGreat Great Lamp but the assemble instructions where from a different model. By: Felipe M., Homeowner (Boston) The Lewit P Floor lamp is stunning! If your looking for a contemporary/modern floor lamp, look no further. This lamp has the look of high end Italian pieces and looks sensational. It comes it two sizes and the overall scale is perfect. Our room has 10' ceiling so the shorter one worked better for the space. It's a bit tricky to put the diffuser on (square frame, round diffuser) but you'll get it eventually.
