This ceiling fixutre is simple, elegant, and unobtrusive; but it emits a surprisingly bright, clean white light (one of the many advantages of halogen), so much so that a dimmer switch will complete the look and increase the fixture's versatility. The Dekor cap gives the fixture a lovely touch, an Art Deco aura.

When the fixture first arrived and we mounted it on the ceiling, a long thin crack appeared in the glass shade as soon as we turned on the light switch; clearly there was a defect in the glass shade that we did not discern when we first inspected it. I called YLighting immediately, and received extraordinarily helpful and efficient customer service: I was told to keep all parts and send a photo of the cracked glass shade; a new shade was sent out immediately, and I received it within a few days. It was shipped even before YLighting received the electronic file with the photograph of the cracked shade. The new shade has already arrived: it is flawless, and the fixture looks so beautiful we are thinking of getting anotehr one (perhaps the larger version) that will work well in a separate hallway of our apartment.

This is the best experience I have ever had ordering a product online or on the phone. Each person with whom I spoke was fully infomed about a large range of lighting options--companies, styles, etc.--and each person was polite, friendly, highly professional, and genuinuely interested in making sure that I selected a product that would suit our lighting needs and individual taste.
