    Axis is defined by its innovative design, simplicity, and integrity. Soft and curving or square and straight, each fixture reflects the forces of heat, hammer and die, the mark of authentic hand-forging. A smaller scale version of the Axis Floor Lamp, the Axis Table Lamp is offered in several metal finishes and 16" drum shade color options. Shown with dark smoke finish and a eclipse shade. Top and bottom glass diffusers, dimmer on base.

    Hubbardton Forge, Vermont manufacturer of hand forged iron lighting fixtures, first fired up the Forge in a drafty old barn in the town of Hubbardton in 1974. Hubbardton Forge set out to master the art of black- smithing, mentored by our first "board of directors" - the few remaining craftsman of an industry gone by. Hubbardton Forge scavenged through New England gathering rusting anvils, trip hammers, swage blocks and other discarded tools of the trade.
