    Hubbardton Forge, Vermont manufacturer of hand forged iron lighting fixtures, first fired up the Forge in a drafty old barn in the town of Hubbardton in 1974. Hubbardton Forge set out to master the art of black- smithing, mentored by our first "board of directors" - the few remaining craftsman of an industry gone by. Hubbardton Forge scavenged through New England gathering rusting anvils, trip hammers, swage blocks and other discarded tools of the trade.

    Looks great with cottage, a little dim as a single

    We remodeled a ratty old 1200 sqft cottage and needed to replace the motion-sensor light out front with something that would fit the new look (wood shingles, white trim, rich brown under the eaves). The style of this wall sconce is great and it is sized appropriately to sit above a single door. I wish it were a little brighter, but then again, it's probably going to be used by most folks as one of a pair so that's perhaps less of an issue than it is for us.
