if the ceiling is 9'-0" high, what size rod to i need so the fixture is not too low? I want to be at 7'-6" at the bottom point.
Thanks for your interest in this design. If your ceiling is 9' high and you want the pendant to be no lower than 7'6", that leaves a foot and a half of room for the fixture including the down rod. The fixture itself takes up 6" in height, which would only leave a foot for the canopy and down rod. The shortest down rod option is still 29.7", which seems like it would still be too long for your project constraints. Even if you bought the shortest rod option, it would still come lower that than the 7'6" specification you had mentioned. If that is going to be a bit too low for your environment, it may be worthwhile to consider a flush mount or a semi-flush mount instead of a pendant so that the fixture won't seem overly-imposing in your space.
