I have looked for a VERY long time for a vanity light, which would go above a rectangular mirror in my guest bath. None of my local stores had anything that I liked. Finally I turned to online shopping (I confess, I don't like buying things I can't see in real life online!) and found Elf2. The fixture provides an excellent amount of light and looks very solid, sleek and contemporary. However, I experienced absolutely the same issue as Lisa K. below. The light bar (which is attached to the base) was mounted crooked. We only noticed that AFTER my husband installed the fixture; we didn't want to leave it like that, as it was pretty noticeable. He had to take it down and I debated whether to return it and go through all the hassle. In the end, he had to loosen two screws in the back himself (which was not easy, as they were pretty tight) and tweak and adjust the light bar as close to being evenly mounted as possible. At this price I expect such a basic thing as even mounting to be a given, and not to go through all the stress and aggravation of doing it FOR the manufacturer!

We just did a very interesting renovation of our tiny powder room. The walls are a very dark, two tone venetian plaster, the floor is dark tile and the fixtures are from Porcelanosa - very Euro and sleek. All trim is brushed stainless.

I'm not real good at choosing fixtures if I can't see them in a photo in a room display, but took a chance with this one. It is complete perfect for the room, decor, our taste. We put in a dimmer, and it just completed the room.

This is my 2nd order with YLighting -- the first was 2 ceiling fans and 2 lights for our new screened porch and they are so modern and chic and cool. Lots of compliments.

A pair of these lights were the perfect solution for us. Our large open space needed a lot of illumination, but was only wired for wall lighting. Most wall-mounted lights offer mood lighting only, but we needed serious wattage! Bath lights offer more lumens, but they look like they belong in a bathroom. The Elf2 offers a LOT of light. Customer service at YLighting said that xenon bulbs provide about twice the light of incandescents for the same wattage. It seems to be true. We looked for years for the right solution, and I'm so glad to say we finally found it!

I am very happy with this fixture because it provides a good amount of light even though my vanity cabinet beneath the fixture is about 5 inches deep. looks great. my only quibble might be that it took me a while to remove the glass tube in order to change the bulb but that's not a big deal in the bigger picture.

We redid our bathrooms, ordering ELF2 and the Kovacs Bath for comparison. The Elf2 is simply beautiful, modern but not trendy - not hard to put together- (we have one vertical and one horizontal, like the vertical best actually). We love it. Only caveat - it is very bright. We were going to get the Elf2 and the Elf3, but sent the Efl3 back and doubled up on the 2, because the 2 was really, really bright. Definitely use with a dimmer if you can. Not a complaint, just be aware. Looks stunning.

Although the light itself is nice, providing excellent lighting in the bathroom, unfortunately, the light arrived somewhat defective, being unevenly mounted on the base. By the time I had it installed and realized it was crooked, I was just too weary to return it, as it was the final element in a bathroom renovation which I just wanted to finish. Although I haven't installed it yet-I compared this lighting fixture in a store, which was designed in Italy, to a copy-that is also nice to look at, but I noticed a serious difference. The quality of light was softer-not a harsh light because of the quality of the diffused glass used to cover the light.
