Design by Philippe Starck and Eugeni Quitllet, 2010.
Made in Italy by Kartell.

Standing on four slim legs, the Masters Chair is roomy and comfortable. The back of the chair is characterized by fullness and empty spaces created by curvaceous crisscrossing lines of three different backs which descend and merge into the edge of the seat.

The Masters Chair pays homage to three contemporary design icons through a fusion of styles. Referencing the silhouettes of Arne Jacobsen's Series 7, Eero Saarinen's Tulip Armchair and Charles Eames' Eiffel Chair, the Masters Chair is an engaging and sinuous hybrid.

Suitable for indoor/outdoor use and stackable 4 units high. The Masters Chair is available in a choice of six solid colors: black, white, grey, sage green, rusty orange and mustard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish chair I had seen this chair at a design store and loved it. When Ylighting offered it on sale I snapped it up. The chair seems to be made of a hard rubber, and is very comfy to sit in. It did have some scuff marks when I unpacked it but they came off easily. I use the Kartell chair as an extra chair in my home office. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Topic of Conversation I know have two Kartell Masters Chairs. One in the bedroom, that goes perfectly with our bedroom choices. The second is in the living room, and often needed as a spare dining room chair, for larger party's. Each time we have people over, they all want to know more about the chair, its various shapes, and the designer. I love it when the dinner conversation concentrates on this chair and leads into a wider discussion on design. As a chair, it's a beautiful piece of construction and design. Effortless in manufacture, it's sturdy, comfortable, and supports you wonderfully. Light enough to lift with one finger, it has a weight of superiority in both our rooms, and we love them. I would recommend one, or two, as a statement piece, or just as a beautiful piece of furniture everyone will want to know more about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very stylish and comfortable chair! We ordered 8 chairs and are very happy with their style and comfort. One of the chairs was damaged in transit, but customer service immediately sent a replacement and also arranged for a UPS pick up for the damaged item. We've ordered multiple items from yliving and have always been pleased with the products and the wonderful customer service.

I purchased 10 of these chairs 3 years ago. We recently moved and I found that we lost 4 of the white bottoms on the legs. How can I replace them? Thank you for your help.

Asked by: 635 OC
Certainly, this is something our parts department would be happy to look into for you. All parts inquiries are accepted via email, so send a quick email to parts@ylighting.com with your previous order number if you have it, name, best contact information, and the part you are hoping to replace. Make sure to reference the original fixture as well, so that the process goes a bit faster. From there, our parts team will create a custom invoice for you and reach out to the manufacturer directly for pricing and availability. You can call in payment at a later time. We look forward to your email, and thanks for contacting us!

hi. I am interested in the Masters chairs, but my question is a bout one of the photos. In the last photo ( 7/7) the chairs are pictured in white at a table. I would like to know the name of the white light pendant that is hanging above the dining table.

How can I tell this chair from a Chinese knockoff costing less than 1/3 the price?

Asked by: Gustav116
Masters Chairs are exclusive to Kartell. Kartell is written in small red letters on the back of the chair and imprinted on the bottom of the seat. Any similar knockoffs are made of lesser materials and cannot be guaranteed for strength, durability, and ware.
