Modern desk lamp, elegantly designed, simple to assemble with ample and variable light control Well designed table lamp that can be configured to most illuminating positions. The pivoting and rotating joints provide easy adjustment and stable positioning, and the sliding light adjustment is intuitive to use. The lamp provides a full range of LED illumination levels from reading to ambient surface lighting. I appreciate the easy assembly, the well designed packaging and that this is designed and manufactured in the USA.....and that it is it modestly priced compared to its European competition. It comes un-assembled, but is quite simple to put together, as no tools are needed. I would definitely will buy this again if I need another desk lamp. By: George, Homeowner (Oregon) Great for modern office I frequently read and write at my desk when not occupied with the computer, and this lamp provides ample light for that - even though my older eyes seem to need more light these days. I have the cool light temperature, and it is very pleasing and natural. The area it covers is greater than the halogen it replaced, and the light is more even. I find the stiffness of the hinges to be little real issue for my purposes. I do reposition it periodically (but not constantly), and I like the fact that it stays exactly where you position it. Virtually every other desk lamp I have had has had issues with this, and many have simply failed to stay where I want them. Not so with this lamp. Multiple adjustment points allow many different configurations. This lamp is best suited for stationary use; the joints are stiff and (except for the swivel at the base) require two hands to adjust; not the best for a task lamp that is frequently repositioned. Even at the maximum brightness, I found it to be a little dim.
