I love our little Kartell Take Table lamps! They are super sleek and stylish, and the way the light plays over our bedroom walls because of the pleating in the lampshade creates a magical effect. I wish I had perhaps gone with smoke grey shade, as we do not have a lot of furniture in a large room, however otherwise am completely satisfied. I bought this light for my teenage daughter's room. The decor is Hollywood glam and I added the Take lamp by Kartell after the lighting in the room was planned and completed. I was taken by surprise the first time I turned it on in the evening - the light coming through the faceted shade is magical and it is small and not obtrusive to other features in the room (I bought crystal clear). It came with a 40 watt bulb which was bright for our desired purpose so I changed it to 20 watt which was perfect for creating a cool and inviting place to wind down after a long day!

A delightful accent lamp for an amazingly reasonable price, the real charm of this isn't obvious from photos - you have to see it lit. The complex shadows & shapes cast by what seems to be simple plastic are amazing. Aside from the great shape & sparking color, this lamp comes with a hidden bonus - the bulb it uses is not one of those speciality types that requires replacements purchased from an obscure website in a Third World country but can be picked up at your local drugstore or market. A quality product !

They can be very functional -- I bought a small clear lamp for use as a desk lamp -- but also fun and decorative as well -- if you want to go with a color. Not many contemporary lighting fixtures could be called pretty but this lamp is, actually, pretty. The lighting is more for ambience than for reading, but that is why I purchased it.

While the look is exactly as described, the quality of the light itself is questionable. If you want to just get ambient light - fine, but do NOT attempt to read with it: the light is more glow than illumination.

I purchased this item from the YLighting store in Palm Springs by a very friendly and knowledgeable chap named Laine. This table lamp is well worth the price . . . you are getting something that illuminates well when turned on and sits elegantly when turned off. I have the red Take lamp sitting on my metal desk and it adds warmth, while seeming complex because of the internal pleating. Each time someone new enters into my apartment one of the first things they gravitate to is this lamp; another great item by the Kartell group. You can insert a standard bulb or a candle-tip bulb and have the option of using up to a 40w bulb. I currently have a 20w bulb and it is putting off a huge amount of light. I recommend this product 100%. Enjoy!
