Customer Questions:

Q: What kind of bulb does the icicle chandelier use? Can it be used in a vanity area or is it not bright enough? I have two mirror areas and I was thinking I could use three at each mirror. Would that work?

A: Each Icicle Chandelier Head uses a 35 watt maximum xenon or MR16 lamp. For a vanity area you would choose the xenon lamp as that provides more general illumination. Depending on the tasks to be performed the lamps could be a fit. Each 35 xenon lamp puts out 420 lumens, that is a little less light than a regular 60 watt vanity globe lamp. If the vanity is in a powder room that should be a enough light with three fixutres. If it is for the main vanity where tasks such as applying make up and shaving will occur, you may want to consider something brighter. Also please note, these fixtures are designed to go on the monorail chandelier system. You might want to consider the wall sconce version, these use 120Volt 50 watt halogen lamps, and will provide roughly twice the amount of light.
