The body, trim and reflector of this sconce are made of self-extinguishing polycarbonate (according to UL94 Class V0, glow wire test 960 deg. C) and the diffuser is made of ice-etched glass. The only downside to the fixture is that it sits off the wall about 1/4" of an inch. I would have preferred that the main housing of the fixture sit flush to the wall, but you can't really notice unless you're looking at the light up close. Overall, great product.
