LBL Lighting

For 40 years, LBL Lighting has created some of the most beautiful and creative lighting in the industry. To the design-inspired, LBL Lighting is the premier choice for contemporary, luxurious lighting. It offers elevated style with unanticipated interpretations, helping create a modern, passion-filled environment for all those who bring these pieces into homes and workplaces.

The company's lighting portfolio includes a wide variety of chandeliers, suspension pieces, flush mounts, wall sconces, decorative glass pendants, architectural heads and outdoor wall fixtures.

Every single piece of art glass is inspected as it arrives at LBL Lighting's Skokie, Ill., facility, just northwest of Chicago. Roughly 15 to 20 percent of that glass is rejected upon inspection for even minor flaws. All discarded glass is crushed, sorted by color and donated to a local manufacturer who recycles it to create countertops.

Dennis Beard, Director of Product Design is responsible for LBL Lighting's creative designs and artistic vision. "As LBL Lighting continues to evolve, our goal is to produce inspired designs with aesthetic longevity in order to elevate a residential or commercial space," Beard said. "Our goal is simple and not dissimilar from the goal of most companies. We want to exceed our customers' high expectations. However, goals are not what separate great organizations from others. Execution does and each day we endeavor to execute better than the day before."

That philosophy pays dividends with brand loyalty and in industry accolades. LBL Lighting's Xterna linear suspension won the prestigious LIGHTFAIR Innovation Award. Inspired by metal elevator gates of the early 20th century, Xterna's upward and downward firing embedded LEDs within its unique structure are gradually revealed as it extends from a customizable length from 7-76 inches - even after installation.

That's just one example of LBL Lighting's continued pursuit of three core values: Beauty, originality and quality. But the ingredient that might best define the brand is fun. Some might call that an intangible entity, until it comes to life in each LBL design.

"Throughout the design process - from sketch to product launch - we have fun," Beard said. "Creativity courses throughout our organization. This shows in each of our products."

How do I remove a damaged globe without taking the whole light fixture down?

Asked by: Linda Joy
Hi there, and sorry to hear that the globe is damaged! If your bulb is broken, all you have to do is reach up into the crinkled metal shade and carefully twist it out of its socket as one would with any regular pendant light with an exposed bulb (i.e. no diffuser to remove). This unit features a very standard 60W 120V E26 classic edison lamp, which are easy to pick up in any local home department store nearby. Thanks for checking in! Parin YLighting Customer Service
