This is a very light weight light with a very simple design. It came quickly and packaged securely to prevent any damage. Purchased for a baby room and lights it beautifully. Only complaint - did not come with any instructions and the online instructions are worthless.

We needed a nice fixture for our step-up dining area in a 950 SF 1BR apt. We wanted a pendant that would be dimmable and which would diffuse soft light in front of a somewhat glossy dark brown rear accent wall. This pendant fit the bill perfectly. The phone rep at Ylighting patiently answered all our questions regarding which size to buy (we chose the largest since the DR is open to the LR), what dimmer switch to use and CFLs vs. incandescent bulbs. The pendant itself arrived very quickly and was packed extremely well. Our first impression was how light weight it was (featherweight, to be exact). I was expecting a more glass-like finish and chandelier weight, but this only gave an impression of elegant airiness rather than any aura of flimsiness or of a cheap fixture. Overall we were very happy with our purchase and felt the money was well spent.

I literally looked at over a thousand lighting fixtures on line at several different websites to find the perfect light to replace an old dining room chandelier. The Le Klint fixtures just captivated me, although they were a huge change from the iron and glass chandelier I was replacing. After settling on the 171, I called Ylighting to get advice on the proper size for my room. The staff member I spoke with, Randy, was extremely helpful. I chose the largest size for my 10 x 12 dining room. The pendant was shipped promptly, and was very carefully packaged. I was surprised at how beautiful a shade made from PVC could really be. It is absolutely beautiful installed and gives off plenty of light. It adds such elegance to the room. I am very glad I went with the largest size as it fits the room perfectly - big enough to have a strong presence without being overpowering. One friend commented that my dining room now looks like something out of a magazine. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Our Pendant 171 has been a welcome addition to our dining room. We chose the middle size, which has been perfect for our space (roughly 12 feet by 12 feet dining room), though we hung it fairly close to the ceiling (18 inches). The lamp is wonderful - very interesting and architectural, but it doesn't dominate the space. It also puts out a nice amount of light for the room, which we were a little concerned about. The delivery and service (and price) were exceptional.

We needed to modernize our historic home a bit, and replace the hideous (and all too small) chandelier with shades that the previous owners had. Since we have 10-foot ceilings, we appreciated having enough cord length to play around with. This particular design does not seem to trap dust and bugs (we've had it for about three months now) the way the other, more popular Le Klint pendant seems to.

This lamp is beautiful and looks great in our dining room. Some elements of the frame and bulb socket are somewhat crude and seem inappropriate on a $300+ product, but these are invisible to the casual observer. Making the lamp hang straight took some effort...

This is the 4th Le Klint pendant I have purchased for various homes I have owned over the past several years... each one is unique and beautiful... this one is no exception! Many people have said they have seen "similar" lights at a retail chain store... "similar" is an understatement. Those lights are cheap knockoffs... this is the real thing and well worth the price. It looks gorgeous turned off (looks like a sculpture) and is even more gorgeous illuminated (throws an incredible light effect on the ceiling). Buy it, you'll love it!

I ordered this light for my client and it was a perfect fit in her children's room. It is very crisp and sculptural. Because it's not made of glass and seems to be a stronger plastic, it was a safer choice in this bedroom. It also casts a very cool shadow on the ceiling that the kids love! We hung the larger size of this lamp a little bit low over a four-person Eames dining table & chairs in front of floor-to-ceiling windows at the front of our mid-century house. It's the first thing people comment on when they come to the door. We threw a party with fellow architecture fans, and people examined the lamp closely with good things to say. I will note, you'll need compressed air with a straw nozzle to blow little dead bugs out of the creases inside. But, that's easy enough, and you can get a can at any office supply store -- it's used to clean keyboards.

The pendant light was not difficult for the electrician to install and I am happy that it does not require a fancy bulb. While it arrived very carefully packed--boxes, layers of plastic, etc.--it is not all that delicate in handling.

In my case it is over a round dining table in an informal dining room. It looks very well and adds some welcome texture.

We purchased this light for our dining room. The light didn't come with any directions. It also came with some "extra" pieces that I could not figure out how to use. The light installed easily once I chose what pieces not to use. The directions would have been especially useful in determing what use these pieces have. Anyway the light seems fine without them and looks great.
