This review is more about first impressions - will know more after a few years use.

Very solid feel to all the components - does not feel like a cheap product. Attractive look and quality finish. The mesh lamp throws a nice shadow on the ceiling and the wall. You may need lower watt bulbs depending on your application.

Easy to install for a DYI. Don't bend all the rails at once. I had success doing one at a time. I advise you pick up an additional 1 or 2 extra stand-offs. You need the 4-1/2" with dark bronze finish - the color is not an exact match to the packaged stand-offs but very close. I used two extra stand-offs and was glad I ordered both.

The Five Light Monorail was purchased for our dining room. We thought at first it would be an all day adventure for installing the light system. When we opened the box, we were pleased with the quality of the product. We did what the instructions said by drawing out the design on the floor. We found that to be the most beneficial in the installation process. Once the design was complete, the installation of the product was the easiest part. It looks beautiful and adds that modern flare we were looking for. I would recommend this product to anyone.

I installed this light system in my office at our new building, I had vistited local lighting retailers and similiar system were running close to $1K, so I began to look online. We bought this set for our music room, and I may be crazy, but I think my guitar playing has improved. I found the lights easy to install, and the light they throw is perfect for our room. The mahogany Martin in the corner looks luscious. One unexpected bonus--the light that hits the ceiling through the mesh shades makes a lovely pattern.
