The two kits were easy to install. they came with everything that was needed, although we could have used an additional ceiling standoff mount.

The packaging was phenomenal! Everything arrived in one piece, because the packaging is very well planned out and executed. Items often break when the packaging is no good. This is definitely not the case with your track ligting kit!

We love how it looks (hubby installed system today) However, if you want a curved design there should be 5-6 posts to attach to ceiling, not 4 & when you 1st turn the system on - it takes a few seconds to warm up.

The monorail system combines an attractive product and a practical one. The fixtures are good looking and are able to highlight portions of the kitchen by directing the light where it is most needed. The cost of the Five Light Monorail Kit is very reasonable.

We purchased the five light monorail kit with white glass shades to go over two desks. The 250 W was pefect light. We added a 600 W dimmer. A handyman installed for me. We had a little trouble getting the rail to bend. We tried using another reviewers tip of using a trash can, but it simply did not stay in place before installation. It was a little tricky, but once the rails were installed to the curve I wanted, it looked amazing. Love the shades. Adjusting the heads to the positions over the desks was simple.

This monorail kit is much cheaper than buying a la carte. Going to a local retail store and purchasing a monorail a la carte was almost $2000 for one monorail. This kit was 1/5 the price !

The only complaint I have is that it really needs 1 more standoff since there are 3 rails and each rail should be supported at both ends. Since the transformer can hold one end of one of the rails, then 5 standoffs are really needed but only 4 are supplied. Having to purchase 1 standoff a la carte after realizing that the kit is missing one is kind of a bummer.

I did have one other problem with one of the glass covers which was chipped. I need to contact Ylighting to get it replaced.

With 3 kits that I purchased, that's an extra charge for 3 simple 4.5" metal rods. Otherwise, the kit is well made, installs fairly easily once you learn how to shape the rails using a trash can. The included drywall hardware works well and didn't require any additional hardware.

Light quality is excellent but I replaced the included MR16 bulbs with Solux bulbs since my application is for a photographic gallery. Very pleased with overall purchase and YLighting was very quick to ship out. I may purchase more units in the future.

We purchased this light to go above our dining room table.

Modern, yet beautiful. I spent some time planning the curve of the monorail as they include three long pieces to connect any which way. I used small pieces of painter's tape to create the curve on the ceiling. My contractor followed the painter's tape as a guide. So the monorail curves exactly as we planned. It throws off such a warm glow. YLighting was very responsive when I asked about availability. It was ordered on a Friday and arrived the following Wednesday. Pretty fast for free shipping!

We recently redid our kitchen, and decided to add a large "L" shaped island, with a total axis of about 12 feet. It was either add pendants or a monorail lighting system. I'm glad we chose the mono. The flexibility with both the shape of the track and placement of the lights was very welcome, since we changed our minds a few times on both.

i love this product. it looks great, was easy for my handy man to install, he was easily able to make an "S" curve with it. it does make the room very hot though--we used only 4 of the 5 lights for a 10x20 bedroom, and after about 15 minutes the room gets very hot....i will appreciate that in the winter!

i think it looks just as good as the one we were going to buy locally for $2000!

Great, modern, and elegant looking track. Everything is well made of high quality materials. Halogen lights, when lit, give nice pinkish glow of fixtures bringing additional interest to the track. It was easy to install. It was fun to bend it and make it into a shape that worked the best for the space. The fixture brings LOTS of light when 50W bulbs (provided) are used so it is good to have a dimmer. Great product; excellent value; would recommend it and would buy it again.
