I am impressed by the detail and precision machining of the WAC lighting parts. The fit and finish of the qucik connect adapter is perfect and the new units match older ones reasonably well. I am glad I bought these parts.

As it says - the quick connect is quick and easy with a clean look.

This rail-to-fixture connector is attractive and secure thanks to a set screw. As the instructions indicate, it is important to ensure that the set screw is securely tightened in order to avoid voltage drop. This may require periodic retightening.

This lighting set up is so frustrating.... 10 years - sometimes one pendant works - or they don't stay on very long. We have checked everything, purchased new bulbs. Finally we decided that we are getting a different type of lighting.

I have had a WAC lighting low voltage Monorail system installed for around 8 years. Recently a couple of the pendants began cutting out occasionally. I discovered that when I would lift up the pendant which took the tension off the Solorail Quick Connect Adapter the light would come back on. After removing the Quick Connect Adapter I could see that its internal copper connecting pin which conducts the electricity from the Solorail to the lighting pendant was sliding freely within it channel. This was causing the electricity to not conduct to the light pendant causing it not to work. It was very simple to replace the Solorail Quick connect Adapter . You just slip in onto the Solorail, tighten one screw, and then thread your existing light pendant onto the adapter and your'e back in business ! BTW ... I have ordered from YLighting several times in the past and for WAC Lighting Monorail / Solorail systems they have good pricing and they ship fast . I'm completely satisfied.

this quick connect seems to work very well, the only question i have is can it be used on all rail systems

I'm very satisfied thus far with the WAC LV rail lighting systems I've purchased (3 total). They look great and are fairly easy to install.
I would rate the lighting systems as a whole a 4/5. I've found the rails to be too flexible where it's very difficult to get one perfectly straight. When you change light bulbs or adjust pendants, all the lights on the rails bounce and the rails flex.
Because I have an apartment, I had to use the surface mount transformers and they require the rails to be 6" off the ceiling (you cannot use the 3" stand-offs) and the shortest pendants add another 6" of depth so it might not be the best choice for very low ceilings. They also require Electronic Low Voltage dimmers and those can get pretty expensive. The ELV Lutron dimmers that WAC certified aren't that great either IMO and in WAC's own words, other dimmers can be hit or miss.
