The futuristic Agaricon table lamp, is a fun lamp, characterized by a uniquely-shaped ribbed polycarbonate body. A curved extruded aluminum ring, perimetral to the lid, is the user's interface. By gently touching or pressing it quickly with the fingers, or suddenly loosing the hold, you can progressively modulate the light. The electronic sensor dimmer allows both the on/off function and dimming. The lamp body and its "lid" are made with high pressure injection-moulded polycarbonate. Integrated sensor dimmer.

Ross Lovegrove was born in 1958 in Cardiff, Wales and graduated from Manchester Polytechnic with a 1st class BA honors in Industrial Design in 1980. He then continued on to receive his masters of design from the Royal College of Art in London in 1983. In the early 1980's he worked as a designer for Frog Design in West Germany on numerous design collaborations such as walkmans for Sony and computers for Apple. He later moved to Paris as a consultant to Knoll International. He later returned to London and founded Studio X in the Notting Hill area of London. Lovegrove has worked for a variety of clients such as Issey Miyake, Herman Miller and Airbus and in 2005 he was awarded the World Technology Award for design. His personal artwork has been exhibited at MoMA in New York, the Pompidou Centre in Paris and the Design Museum in London.
