Design by Ross Lovegrove, 1998.
By Luceplan.

The light for your home garden, the terrace, spaces around the swimming pool or for the vegetable garden. Pod Lens is high, low, stuck into the ground, in bunches or festoons on the branches of trees.

The diffuser, reminiscent of natural forms like those of flower buds, is made entirely of polycarbonate, with over-molded walls that make the lamp waterproof and its colors resistant to ultraviolet rays. Inside the house, when raised on a high stem with aluminum base, it becomes a lightweight floor lamp.

Choose how you would like to mount it from pendant mount (fixture does not include junction box mount, but can be "draped" from branches etc.), wall mount, as a ground stake or a floor lamp (floor mount requires stem and base- mobile or stationary).

All are wired with an 8' grey weather proof cord and plug set.

Lens color choices: Sage green, terracotta, or grey; stems will match color of lens; wall mount and stationary base are finished in grey; mobile floor base is an aluminum finish

I bought it before and I love it.

It's the perfect light for my landscape, patio and terrace. I have installed 14 pods and they are the right complement for my very colorful house.

Delightfully playful

These are great accent lights for outdoors. Between the different colors and the ability to mount hanging down or upright on 3 different length poles, you get a lot of variety with a consistent theme. They provide spots of light and color in an intriguing way where it's not expected. Not sure why the yellow seems to be unavailable now.

I was afraid these might look too plastic. Up close they do, but even a foot or two away they don't have that look so they're great outdoors. I don't think I would like them as a floor lamp.

We bought 4 of these as open box items and they were all in like new condition.

Frayed around the edges, looks cheap.

I ordered the pods in terracotta with down rods and stationary hardware. I was very disappointed in the quality. I bought them to install in my new backyard kitchen/bar. I ordered 4, on inspection of one, I didn't need to see the others. The edges were frayed, the terracotta down rods did not match the pod. The grey stationary fixture was more beige than a sharp grey color. I do not recommend this product.
